Sadie Amara Calvano has become popular for her role as Violet Plunkett that she played on the CBS comedy Mom. Calvano was born in California, and initially was interested at competitive gymnastics. She later decided to pursue an acting career. In 2010 she first appeared on the screen in a scene from the CBS series 'NCIS.' One year later her first major-screen debut came in the biographical crime movie J Edgar. She was one of the most talented young actors on the scene over the next few decades. In 2011, she received an award for a Young Artist Award nomination for the top Actress on a TV Series, in the role of Guest Actress 11-15. In 2013 she was nominated to win another Young Artist Award for her guest appearance in Disney XD's comedy series 'Kickin' It'. Calvano had a significant role in "Mom" in the series' first three season, as well as making appearances on several episodes of Season 4. Calvano's role as a rising star on Mom brought her the Gracie Allen Award, which is presented to women who are outstanding actors.
